C&J's Refund Policy
A legal disclaimer
Effective Date: 08/25/2025
At C&J’s Remodel and Construction, we strive to deliver exceptional service and craftsmanship on every project. Because our work is custom and project-specific, our refund and cancellation policy is designed to protect both our customers and our team.

1. Deposits
-
A deposit is required to secure your project and schedule materials and labor.
-
Deposits are non-refundable once work has been scheduled or materials have been ordered.

2. Cancellations
-
If you cancel your project before materials are ordered or work is scheduled, your deposit may be refundable, less any administrative or consultation fees.
-
If you cancel after materials are ordered or work has begun, you will be responsible for the cost of materials purchased and any labor already performed.

3. Change Orders
-
If you request changes after a project has started, additional charges may apply.
-
Refunds are not provided for work already completed under the original scope.

4. Completed Work & Satisfaction Guarantee
-
We do not offer refunds for completed work. However, we stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship.
-
If there is an issue with workmanship, we will make reasonable efforts to correct it under the terms of your warranty or service agreement.
-

5. Special Order Items
-
Any custom or special-order items (such as cabinets, windows, doors, fencing materials, or specialty fixtures) are non-refundable once ordered.

6. Refund Processing
-
Approved refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 10 business days using the original payment method.

7. Paint Policy
We strive to provide professional, high-quality painting services. To set clear expectations, please note the following:
-
Color Selection
-
Customers are responsible for final paint color approval.
-
We recommend testing samples in your space before work begins. We are not responsible for dissatisfaction with a chosen color once applied.
-
-
Coverage & Number of Coats
-
Standard painting quotes include two coats of paint unless otherwise specified.
-
Additional coats required for full coverage (such as drastic color changes or low-coverage paints) will be billed as a change order.
-
-
Surface Preparation
-
Our painting includes standard prep (light sanding, patching small nail holes, caulking minor gaps).
-
Extensive repairs (e.g., drywall replacement, large patching, texture matching, or stain-blocking) are not included unless specifically stated in your estimate.
-
-
Finish & Touch-Ups
-
We make every effort to deliver a uniform, professional finish.
-
Minor imperfections (such as roller marks, slight variations in sheen, or small touch-up spots) are considered normal within industry standards.
-
A final walk-through will be conducted to identify and complete reasonable touch-ups.
-
-
Customer-Supplied Paint
-
If the customer supplies paint, we cannot guarantee coverage, durability, or finish.
-
-
Exclusions
-
We are not responsible for paint failure due to moisture problems, structural issues, or previously applied incompatible coatings.
